Bean and Bean

Bean & Bean (not to be confused with another chain called “The Bean”) is a coffee shop close to Penn Station and the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.). It’s far enough that people traveling from Penn Station usually stop at Variety Coffee Roasters or Sumptown in the Ace Hotel, so it’s slightly less crowded.

A large number of the seats are hard stools, so if you are someone that needs a back-rest or padded seating, it can be a killer.  Many tables in this café are metal and wood tables that would not look out of place in a restaurant food prep area or wood working shop.
